Apex Legends is finally adding a team deathmatch mode. Just like the deathmatch mode in other games, you will have to eliminate one another until a specific kill score is reached. But Apex Legends has also added its own spin to make it a bit different. Team Deathmatch mode will be added with season 16 Revelry’ launching on February 14th.
“We’ve been hearing the community ask for this one for a while,” says game mode designer Marty Wong.
Team Deathmatch is a fast-paced 6v6 match where your aim is to get 30 kills for winning the round. Win two such rounds and your team will win the game. You can select from a range of powerful premade loadouts in the same way you do in Control mode. If you get killed, you will respawn in six-second with your gear.
This will also be the first time when a new season is launching without a new hero. However, the company will reorganize the existing lineup of heroes into six character classes: Assault, Skirmisher, Recon, Controller, and Support. The company is also updating six Legends beyond the usual balance changes.
Apex Legends will also get a new weapon Nemesis. Nemesis is an automatic, burst-fire assault rifle using energy weapon ammunition.
