Stephanie Economou, who composed the soundtrack of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn Of Ragnarok, has won the first gaming GRAMMY award. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was nominated alongside Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Call Of Duty: Vanguard, Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy, and Old World.

“I feel kind of shocked,” Economou said after receiving the award. “I’m amazed because this is the first year that this category exists so it’s big. It’s a big thing, and I just feel very validated by this community. I’m beyond grateful to be here.”

For the 2023 awards, a new category “Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media” was added.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is an action role-playing game that reportedly earned more than $1 billion and was also one of the best-selling games of 2020.
