Today at a press event in Delhi, HTC announced three new Android smartphones in Desire series. These new smartphones are HTC Desire 820, Desire 820Q and 816G. HTC Desire 820 was announced back at IFA 2014 in Berlin.
HTC Desire 820 features a 5.5 inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It is powered by a octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor (4 Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz per core and four clocked at 1.0 GHz) with Adreno 405 GPU / 1.2 GHz quad-core processor Snapdragon 410 processor. It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat with HTC Sense 6 UI at top and upgradable to Android L. Octa-core variant has 2 GB RAM but Quad core variant is called Desire 820G. It has 1 GB RAM. Connectivity features of the smartphone are 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n (2.4 & 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX and GPS.

HTC Desire 816G is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-core MediaTek Processor with 1 GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat with HTC Sense 6.0. It features a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. It is packed with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage with microSD card. Connectivity features of the smartphone are 3G HSPA+, WiFi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX and GPS with a-GPS. It is packed with 2600 mAh battery.
