Jolla, Smartphone company from Finland, has launched its first Jolla smartphone in India for Rs. 16,499. This smartphone will be available exclusively on Snapdeal. In India, device came very late. It was available in Europe for over a year. In July, Jolla confirmed to launch the smartphone but took more than 2 months to launch.
Jolla smartphone features a 4.5 inch qHD display with Gorilla Glass 2 protection. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz dual core Snapdragon 400 Soc and runs on Sailfish OS. Sailfish OS has complete gesture based UI. It comes with 1 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage and microSD card slot to expand storage. It has a 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. Connectivity features of the smartphone are 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is packed with 2100 mAh battery.
Sailfish OS supports Android apps out of the box and you can also install third party apps from various marketplaces. Although the hardware specifications of the smartphone is not very high but the UI and UX of the smartphone is really awesome. Company wants people to look beyond the specifications and think about the user experience of the device.
It comes in three colors: Poppy Red, Kiera Black and Aloe Blue.
