If you deactivate Pinterest account, it will hide your profile from Pinterest and you can take a break from Pinterest. When you decide to come back to the platform, you can reactivate it later.
If you delete your Pinterest account, your personal data, boards, and pins will be permanently deleted. There will be no way to recover them. When you delete your account, it will take up to 14 days to delete your account and data. If you want to recover your account, you can do it within 14 days after you delete your account.

Open Pinterest on the browser and then click the Down arrow icon at the top right corner of the display.
Then click Settings from the menu.
Now click Account Management from the left sidebar.
You will now see Two different options: “Deactivate account” and “Delete your data and account.”
Click the Delete Account button to permanently delete your Pinterest account.
It will ask for confirmation. Click continue to confirm. Then it will ask you the reason why you are leaving Pinterest. Select the reason. Pinterest will now send you an email to confirm your choice to delete your account. In the email, click on the “Yes, delete account” button.
It will delete your Pinterest account.
Delete Pinterest on Android and iOS
If you use Pinterest on a mobile phone, the steps to delete Pinterest account are the same for Android and iOS. Although I am attaching screenshots of Pinterest for iOS, you will see similar UI and options on the Android app.
Tap the profile picture icon at the bottom-right corner and then the three horizontal dot icons at the top-right corner. Select Settings.
Tap Account Management and then tap Delete your data and account. Tap Continue Select the reason why you’re leaving and then tap Send email to receive an email to delete your account.
Pinterest will send you an email. Open the email and then click the Delete button to confirm that you want to close your account.
