Asus India has launched world’s first phone Asus Zenfone AR with Tango and DayDream support in India. This was also the first smartphone with 8GB RAM at the time of its announcement.

In India, Zenfone AR will be sold exclusively from Flipkart.com. If you also buy DayDram VR headset with this phone, you can avail Rs. 2500 off. You also get Up to 100GB additional 4G data on Jio and No-cost EMI for up to 9 months.

This phone has necessary sensors to track motion and depth to use for AR and VR.

Asus Zenfone AR comes with 5.7-inch Quad HD AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. This display will give awesome Virtual Reality experience with Google’s DayDream VR headset. The phone is powered by 2.3GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU and 8GB LPDDR4 RAM. It also has 128GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage that can be expanded up to 2TB with microSD card.

It has 13 megapixels rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX318 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 6P Largan lens, 4-axis OIS, 3-axis EIS and Laser AF. It also has 8 megapixels front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-viewing angle.

The phone also has Fingerprint sensor, Built-in Mono 5 magnet speaker, ASUS SonicMaster 3.0, DTS Headphone: X for virtual 7.1 surround sound Hi-Res Audio 192kHz/24-bit standard and NXP Smart AMP technology.

It is packed with 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac5 GHz 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type-C. The phone comes with 3300mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
