Ecosia is a popular search engine that plants trees with the profit it makes from search ads. Now the company has released a cross-platform web browser. The browser is available for Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS.

Ecosia web browser is based on Chromium, Google’s open-source browser project. So, the web browser is similar to Chrome, Edge, or other browsers built on Chromium. The company claims that your data and privacy remain protected as you surf the web.

The browser lets users customize the landing page and remove sections. There are not many big features in the browser. So, the only reason to switch to the new browser is to help our planet.

The company is also introducing an affiliate shopping program with this new browser. Users will see links to different shopping sites under the sponsored links section. All the earnings the company makes sponsored links section will be used to plant trees and fund other similar green projects.

Ecosia promises to use its profits for the planet. It plants trees, protects endangered animals, and helps communities around the world by using its profits. The company is also committed to generating 25Wh of clean energy per user per day. Ecosia has already planted more than 200 million trees.
