Google Wallet app is now available for Android users in India. The app has made its way to the Google Play Store in India. Indian people can now download the app from the Play Store and use the app to store their cards for contactless payments.

There was no official announcement from Google about the launch. People spotted the Play Store listing. It is also interesting to note that the app has been working for many users in India for the past few months. However, users needed to download the Google Wallet APK from a trusted APK download website.

Google Wallet app lets users save their debit and credit cards and then make contactless payments securely. The app also acts as a digital wallet app where users can save flight tickets, event tickets, gift cards, and more.

It is worth noting that the Google Wallet app will work only on smartphones that feature NFC.

Google already has a Google Pay app in India for making UPI payments. Google Wallet is different from Google Pay and caters to different users. So, Google will keep offering both the apps in the country. Google Pay is already popular in India and is 2nd most popular UPI app in the country. India is also Google’s biggest market for payments.
