NVIDIA announced GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card at $349

During its press conference at CES 2019, NVIDIA announced RTX 2060 graphics card. The new card costs $349 and will be available starting January 15. GeForce RTX 2060 is the low-end version of its Turing-based desktop graphics cards.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 offers 52 teraflops of Tensor Core processing power that can handle 5 gigarays per second. It also features a 6GB frame buffer. It has 6 GB of GDDR6 memory running a 192-bit wide bus.

NVIDIA claims that the new RTX 2060 is faster than 1070Ti cards and will offer between 1.4 and 2x performance benefit over its 1060 counterpart.

We are still waiting to get full specification list from NVIDIA. Based on the information we received, it looks like RTX 2060 is like a cut-down version of the TU106 GPU. The GeForce RTX 2060 sports 1920 CUDA cores.

NVIDIA has rated RTX 2060 for a TDP of 160W that is down from the RTX 2070.

The card comes fitted with one rear positioned power headers. It also had dual slot design of cooler. The card offers one HDMI port and two DisplayPort outputs.

This new GPU is important because it brings RTX capabilities to a wider consumers. Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang said also confirmed that the company has tuned the new card by keeping in mind the negative early reactions its previous cards GeForce RTX 2070, GeForce RTX 2080, and GeForce RTX 2080 Ti received.

NVDIA will bundle the card with Anthem or Battlefield V.
