DMRC is set to provide Wi-Fi on trains and stations

Delhi people will soon be able to access wi-fi on Metro trains and stations. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has initiated the process to bring wi-fi hotspot as Metro trains and stations. And the deadline for the project has been set to end of May.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has invited ‘Request For Proposals’ from different mobile operators for this project. Winner from these bidders will get the project to install wifi hotspots at stations and trains.

“This was a long standing demand of the commuters. We have asked mobile operators to submit their proposals and will check feasibility and other parameters after that,” an official said.

As of now, Rapid Metro Network in Gurgaon are Wi-Fi enabled.

Recently, Delhi metro had also launched a unique initiative for smartphone users. Under this initiative, Android users can earn credit points. These points can be redeemed to recharge smart cards. This initiative is also receiving good response from users.

Delhi people! just wait for 2 months and then enjoy wi-fi at metro stations.
