Today, Tumblr has achieved 100 million blogs milestone. With these number of blogs, Tumblr has more than 44.6 billion posts. Tumblr has a ticker on about page that confirms these numbers.
Tumblr has seen good growth in last one year and doubled the number of blogs it hosts. It reported 50 million blogs back in April 2012. Earlier this month, it crossed 93 million blogs on March 2. In less than one month, more than 7 million blogs has been created.

Tumblr was founded in 2007 by David Karp. It is available in 12 languages. Company has 167 employees who try to make this blogging platform better.
Tumblr is mainly popular in US with 4% visitors from America alone. Other major traffic source countries are Brazil and UK. It 2012, Tumblr also became one of the top 10 most visited website of the world. Few days back company also announced that they are planning to launch mobile ads for Android and iOS platform.
