Twitter has finally decided to shutdown popular short video sharing service Vine. You can no longer add more vine videos, but vine.co website will continue to hosts vines. So, you can go back and watch popular vines.

Now Giphy has come with an interesting idea. It wants you to convert your Vines to GIFs. It has released a tool that will convert your Vines into Gifs. This processor will help you to easily share your Vines on other popular social networks.

Access: Giphy Loves Vines

Giphy’s tool will allow you to import all your vines and convert into GIFs. Best thing is that Vine will keep the original video files along with converted GIFs.

To use this too, you need to log in or sign up for a Giphy account. Then, copy and paste the URL to your vine account to import your entire profile’s vines and click on import. Giphy will take few minutes depending on the number of videos you have in your Vine account.

As of now, Giphy only allows one account import. If you have more than one Vine account, you can contact Giphy for help to import multiple Vine to a single Giphy account.

I think this is a great use of Vines. GIFs are popular on Facebook and other social media websites. With this conversion tool, users can better make use of their Vines.
