Today, Google has announced that it has redesigned the Google Analytics social report to show inbound link and stats. Now webmasters can see when a new inbound link is added to from other websites to their website. Google Analytics also shows the total number of visits from this inbound link.
This update also makes easier to track how people are reacting to your content through data hub activity. You can see how your content is being shared on various data hub partners or comment systems. You can even filter the datahub report to show list by any specific networks you wish to see. This is also very useful feature because we know that social impact also affect the website’s ranking. So, it will help us to know how the content is performing and what should be the next step.

“We’re also excited to announce that Trackbacks are now available in a standalone report. Trackbacks are all of your inbound links across the web, so you’ll be informed if anyone from a small to blog to the New York Times posts a link to your site,” Google Announced.
Trackback stats were already available in Google Analytics, but it is now available as standalone report. Previously it was hard to check inbound link.
This new update seems very useful for website owners who are trying to create backlinks for their websites and producing high quality content to get natural banklinks. We also know that backlinks are very important for High pager rank.
