Movies Rental and Download Store, Movies on Google Play Launched in India

Now, Google has started taking care of Indian customers. After launching Google Play Books store and Nexus 7 device, Movies on Google Play is available in India. Android users can now rent or buy movies via Google Play. If we could remember, Apple has already launched this service in India via iTune store..

From Google Play Movies, you can purchase SD version of a movies for Rs. 190 and HD version for Rs. 490. YOu can also rent a SD quality movie for Rs. 80 or HD quality movies for Rs. 120. Prices may vary from movie to movie.

To download movies on your Android device, you need to download Google Play Movies app from Google Play store. After that you can buy or rent movies from Google play Store.

Movies can be downloaded over 3G or Wifi via Play Store on the Android device or on a computer. Purchased movies can be downloaded on five devices at one time but you can rent movie to one device at a time. When you download the streaming for movies rentals, It will not available on any of your other device.  If you removes the download of the movie rental on the device, it will get re-enabled for streaming or for downloading onto other devices.

When we looked at the movies collection, we found that only few Bollywood movies are available. But You can find most of the Hollywood movies in the store. It seems a bit disappointing for Bollywood movies lover. But we are sure that Google will add more movies from Bollywood soon. At the moment, you can only find Bollywood movies from big banner like Yash Raj.
