Sony Xperia Ion is a nice Android smartphone from Sony which has everything we need from a smartphone. It has a nice look and smart features. All these things come for price tag of around Rs. 32,990.

Design

If we talk about the design of the phone, Sony Xperia Ion is different from its sibling. It has a conventional look with slight curve at the corners. Front panel of the smartphone is flat while rear panel comes with slightly curve body. It comes with 4.55 inch display and easy to hold in one hand.

It has a scratch resistant glass but you should surely use screen protector. Just below the touch-screen, it has four touch sensitive keys.

At the right side of the phone, there are lots of keys including the power key, the volume rocker and the camera key. At the left side, it has microUSB and HDMI ports.

Camera

Sony Xperia Ion features a 12 megapixel camera with LED flash that can capture full HD videos at 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. Camera features includes 3D Sweep Panorama, Auto Focus, Face Detection, Geotagging, Image Stabiliser, Red-eye Reduction, Self Timer, Scene Recognition, Smile Shutter, Touch Focus and Video Light. It also features a 1.3 megapixel secondary camera for video calling.

Memory and Storage

This smartphone comes with 13.2 GB from which 12.9 GB memory is for users. Internal memory is expandable up to 32 GB via microSd card. It is powered by 1 GB RAM.

Processor and Operating System

It is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm Scorpion processor, It also features Adreno 220 graphics processor. It runs on Android v 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich mobile operating system.

Connectivity

Connectivity features of this smartphone includes 3G, 21.1 Mbps HSDPA; 5.8 Mbps HSPA, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, microUSB v2 and Wi-fi Hotspot. It also features v2.1, Supported Profiles (A2DP 1.2, EDR, AVRCP 1.0, HFP 1.5, HSP 1.1, OPP 1.1, PAP 1.0) and A-GPS.

Bettery

It is packed with a 1900 mAh battery that provides talktime of 10 hrs at 2G network and 4 hrs at 3G network. It also provide standby Time of 400 hrs (2G) and 350 hrs (3G).
