Meta demonstrated Movie Gen, an AI video editing tool, earlier this year. At that time, the tool was still in development and the company had no immediate plans to make it viable to users. It seems Meta is now ready to bring this tool to Instagram users.
Adam Mosseri posted a short video on Instagram to preview how this tool will work on Instagram. He said that the tool will let users change any aspect of their videos with a text prompt. His Instagram post confirmed that the tool will be coming to Instagram next year.
In the short clip, Mosseri demonstrated how this tool can change the backdrop and outfit. The transitions in the video look pretty seamless. If the tool works the same way, it will make content creation on Instagram more creative.
