Final Fantasy XVI is exclusive to PlayStation, but it won’t be for long. Square Enix has confirmed that the PC port of Final Fantasy XVI is in development.

In a video posted on the official X account of Final Fantasy XVI, Final Fantasy XVI confirmed that they are working on the PC version of the game. He also confirmed two paid DLC expansions

Although there is no official confirmation about the exact release timeline, Yoshida said that the company will share more information about the DLC and the paid version by the end of the year.

“Finally, while Final Fantasy XVI was released as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, we are aware that many of you have been asking for a PC version. So allow me to take this opportunity to officially announce that development on a PC version is currently underway.” Yoshida said.

Final Fantasy XVI was released back in June for PlayStation 5. At that time, Square Enix claimed that that game would reclaim exclusive to PlayStaion 5 for at least the remainder of the year.

This news isn’t surprising because the game’s first trailer released in 2020 also mentioned the PC version.
