Angry Birds SpaceAngryBirds Space is going to launch which will be released on Android and iOS powered devices initially. But Rovio wants its game on as many devices as possible. It also wants the game on Sony-made PlayStation Vita and the Nintendo 3DS.
During the SXSW event, Peter Vesterbacka, one of the core leaders at Rovio, said that the company planned to get their new game on as many screens as possible, but he don’t know how the game will do on PlayStation Vita handheld.
He said, “The Vita we haven’t decided what to do about yet, but of course we want to be on all the screens, so let’s see how the Vita does in the market.”
He added, “Of course, always when working with these console guys it’s not that we can decide, it’s really if Sony wants to have Angry Birds on Vita. It’s more up to them than to us.”
He said that company wants to launch the entire game on the 3D devices but there is not a mindset about the exact date of the launch.
On other side, PlayStation Vita is for hardcore gamers where the games with HD graphics and higher gaming experience are played. So It’s not clear whether Sony is interested in getting a casual title like Angry Birds on its new handheld.
