Vodafone announces free incoming calls on national roaming from Diwali

Vodafone

Vodafone India has taken a big step to counter Reliance Jio’s growing popularity. It has announced that Vodafone customers will get free incoming calls while roaming nationally. This offer will start from this Diwali.

This is, of course, a good news because most of the people worry about incoming calls while on roaming. Many times promotional calls affect their balance and they are helpless. Outgoing charges are still applicable as per roaming policy.

Vodafone India claims to have around 200 million customers. So, this offer will affect large number of customers across the country.

“As part of our ongoing 200 million customer celebration, providing Free Incoming on National Roaming will ensure that our customers do not think twice while traveling out of town. We hope that this Diwali gift will empower our customers to stay connected with their loved ones without worrying about roaming tariffs,” said Vodafone.

After the Reliance Jio’s entry, telecom operators are fighting to get better offers and retain consumers. Jio offers free calls and the internet even while on roaming. Matching this offer is not possible for other telecom operators, but they are trying their best to get something fruitful.
