Nearly four years after the launch, Apple is now discontinuing the Siri-powered smart speaker HomePod. It didn’t have a good demand due to the expensive price tag. So, the company now wants to focus on smaller and affordable HomePod Mini.

HomePod was an impressive speaker offering premium audio quality. Apple spent enough time and money on making the device. At $350, the speaker didn’t get the response Apple expected. Apple also announced a price drop but it was already too late. Amazon and Google kept dominance in the smart speaker segment. HomePod Mini is a hit because of a cheaper price.
