Amazon has introduced a new product in its Echo family of speakers. The new product is Amazon Echo Pop which brings a new design to the table. Amazon Echo Pop features a semi-spherical design and is priced at Rs. 4999.

Amazon Echo Pop has an interesting semi-spherical design. At the top, it has volume control buttons along with a dedicated button to mute the mic. There’s also a light bar at the top edge as a small strip. The smaller size and base make it easy to place the speaker in various places around the home. Echo Pop also has three far-field microphones for listening to voice commands carefully.
The device has a front-facing speaker that promises loud sound, balanced bass, and crisp vocals. It sounds really great and the sound performance is almost similar to Echo Dot.
The device packs Amazon’s AZ2 Neural Edge processor that helps the device do faster local processing of voice commands.
It has all the capabilities that we get in other Alexa products. You can use it to control smart lights, ACs, TVs, geysers, and other smart home appliances using Alexa voice commands. You can also ask Alexa for information, play songs, set alarms, reminders, and more. It can also be used as a standalone speaker by pairing it with your phone. One thing to note is that Echo Pop lacks a temperature and ultrasound sensor which makes the device less useful as a smart home controller.
The device features Dual-band Wi-Fi supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.0.
Amazon Echo Pop comes in Black, Green, Purple, and White color options. It measures 3.9 x 3.3 x 3.6 inches and weighs 196 g.
