Amazon has launched its new Amazon Echo Dot (5th Gen) in India. Amazon claims that the new device is the best sounding Echo Dot the company has launched ever. It offers deeper bass and clearer vocals that the previous gen Echo Dot.
Amazon Echo Dot (5th Gen) features a 1.73″ front-firing speaker as compared to the 1.6″ speaker in the predecessor. There is no change in the design. It features the same spherical shape with a circular ring of LED on the bottom. It also uses the same fabric finish exterior. However, it lacks a 3.5 mm line out.
The new Echo Dot (5th Gen) features Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy Mesh, and Matter controller. You can also use Echo Dot as a standalone speaker to stream music from your favorite music streaming app like Amazon Music, Hungama, Spotify, Jio Saavn, and Apple Music. It can also be paired with your phone to use as a Bluetooth speaker. There is also a mic-off button to mute the mic for privacy.
It features in-built motion detection and temperature sensors to turn the light automatically when you enter the room. It can also turn on AC when the room gets hot. You can also control your home appliances including lights, ACs, TVs, and geysers.
Amazon Echo Dot (5th Gen) is priced at Rs. 5,499 and is available at Rs. 4999 from Amazon.in.
