Indian Government has again banned 43 mobile apps over security concerns. Many of these apps are own by Chinese companies. Four of these apps are owned by China’s retail giant, the Alibaba Group. AliExpress is also among the banned app. This is a popular app in India used by geeks to order products not available in the Indian market.
The order to ban these apps was issued under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act.
“Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India today issued an order under section 69A of the Information Technology Act blocking access to 43 mobile apps,” a government statement read.

The decision to ban the fresh lot of apps was based on the reports received from Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center, Ministry of Home Affairs. Here is the list of blocked apps
“Government is committed to protect the interests of citizens and sovereignty and integrity of India on all fronts and it shall take all possible steps to ensure that,” the Centre government said today.
Centre government earlier banned 59 mobile apps on June 29 and another 118 apps on September 2 this year. Some popular Chinese apps like TikTok, Shareit, Helo, Shein, Likee, PUBG MOBILE LITE, WeChat Work, and UC Browser are already blocked in India. PUBG Mobile is now planning a return as PUBG Mobile India.
