One of the most popular mobile games in India, PUBG Mobile, could be banned soon. After banning 59 Chinese apps, the Indian government could now ban over 250 other Chinese apps including PUBG, Resso, Zili, Ali Express, and more.

To be specific, the new list has 275 Chinese apps that are being examined for any violation of national security and user privacy. That means the matter is still in the investigation and the decision of banning apps will be taken only if there’s something suspicious. So, some or none from the list may be banned depending on the app behavior.

The list includes apps that have been red-flagged due to security reasons or for violation of data sharing and privacy concerns. Government agencies are also identifying more Chinese apps and their funding.

Chinese Internet companies have a big business in India. After the violent face-off between the armed forces of the two countries on June 15, India is cracking down on the Chinese app that could be used to snoop Indian consumers.

In a similar development, a former employee of Alibaba in India accused the Alibaba censorship and fake news via UC News and UC Web browser.
