Lenovo is in big trouble for past 30 hours. It has been caught installing adware in its new consumer computers. This adware is called Superfish and Lenovo computers comes with this adware.

Superfish adware injects third-party ads on Google searches and other websites with the permission of users. This adware affects Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. Security researchers also claimed that this adware can access encrypted web data and online passwords.

Lenovo also issued a statement and confirmed that it stopped shipping computers with this Adware. This practice was started back in September and now no new computer will be shipped with this. Lenovo also said that Superfish has been disabled in all the systems which already had it installed.

Lenovo also defended its step by saying the Superfish was installed to help users. Company thought that it will enhance the shopping experience.

Company also claims that Superfish does not track online activities of users and does not record any user information. When using first time, it also presents its terms and privacy policy. Users are free to accept or now. If user does not accept, it will disable automatically.

While Lenovo tried to defend its step, this became nightmare for the company. Although company claims that it has already been disabled in all the systems, you may manually check and consider installing a fresh copy of Windows. You can also try various available tutorials to remove Superfish from your computer.
