ASUS ZenBook 15 UX534FTSpecs:

  • Display: 15.6-inch IPS FHD LED-Backlit
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-8565U
  • RAM: 16 GB DDR3-2133 on-board RAM
  • Storage: 1 TB PCIe SSD
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q
  • Weight: 1.65 Kg
  • Battery life: Up to 14 hours

ASUS ZenBook 15 UX534FT comes with a sleek design. It is 18.9 mm thick and weighs 1.65 Kg. So, it is one of the most lightweight full-sized laptops you can buy. It is a 15.6-inch display laptop with thin bezels. Side bezels are just 3 mm thin. It can easily fit inside the backpack and is portable to carry around. It comes in Royal Blue color that looks really nice.

It has ErgoLift hinge that is designed to raise the back of the laptop a couple of inches for proper airflow. It tilts the keyboard to give you a comfortable typing position. On the left side, it has a USB Type-A 3.1 (Gen. 1) port and an audio jack. On the other side, it has the power plug, an HDMI port, a USB Type-A 3.1 (Gen. 1) and a USB Type-C 3.1 (Gen. 1) and a full-sized SD card reader.

It features a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS panel offering 1920 х 1080 pixels resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. The display covers 92% of sRGB. The contrast ratio is also good. The display experience is immersive, colors are rich and vivid. It has good brightness and you won’t face any problem even in outdoors. It has good viewing angles. And colors won’t be washed out if you look at the screen from different angles.

It packs Intel Core i7 8565U clocked at 1.8GHz but can dynamically overclock to up to 4.6 GHz. It comes with 16GB LPDDR3 RAM that is soldered to the mainboard. So, there is no room to further upgrade. But 16GB is more than enough for most of the work. The laptop is powerful enough for running high-end Photo editing and video software. Developers can also use it for running their development tools without any issue. The laptop can handle serious multitasking and many modern games.

For graphics, it has NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM. GeForce 1650 is a decent mid-range graphics card. So, this laptop is good for casual gaming. In most of the games, you will get around 50 fps frame rates but it drops to 30 fps on high-end games lie Battlefield 5.

ASUS ZenBook 15 comes with 1TB PCIe x4 SSD storage that is also more than enough to keep your media files and software without needing any external storage or cloud storage.

It has a full size backlit keyboard but the Numbered section feels a little cramped up. Just below the keyboard, there is the most notable part of the laptop called ScreenPad. Asus has replaced the traditional Touchpad with a TouchScreen display that acts as a second display while working as a regular TouchPad when you need it. The screened measures 5.65-inch diagonally and is a Super IPS display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution. It also has a layer for fingerprint and smudge resistance. It supports up to four-finger smart gestures.

There is a range of ASUS utility apps for improved productivity. These utility apps include one-tap automation of complex keyboard sequences, Handwriting, Number Key and Office Xpert. There’s also Spotify and VLC player. So, you can listen to music or watch video on this secondary display while working on your presentation or document on the primary display. Asus has also an API for developers, so other software can also make use of this secondary display to offer a better experience on this laptop.

The laptop comes with Windows 10 Pro out of the box. It has an advanced IR camera for hands-free face login with Windows Hello. It also has integrated Cortana and Alexa digital assistants.

The speakers on the laptop are good but not great. Sound output on headphones is excellent. So it not just offers a good music experience, but also enhances the gaming experience.

ASUS ZenBook 15 features Dual-Band Wi-Fi 5 card. The laptop gets good signal strength and gets good wireless data transfer speeds. It also features Bluetooth 5.0. I have already talked about the ports it has.

The laptop packs a 71Whr, 8-cell Lithium-Polymer battery. It offers excellent battery backup and can last a day of continuous usage easily. I was getting over 12 hours of battery backup on a fully charged battery.

The laptop is powerful and portable both. It can also be used for gaming purposes. So, a good one for students who need an all-rounder. Professionals who need a lightweight but powerful laptop with long battery backup can also prefer this.
