Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Rebel Wolves have confirmed that the open-world dark fantasy RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker will launch on September 3. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is set in 14th-century Europe. The world is in chaos because of wars and the Black Death. In this time, vampires rise from the shadows and take control. Other creatures of the night also appear, and human society starts to collapse.
You play as Coen, a young man who becomes a Dawnwalker. He is stuck between two worlds, day and night. The main story is about saving his family or giving in to his cursed powers. The choice is in your hands.
The game is already open for pre-orders. The Standard Edition is priced at $69.99. There is also an Eclipse Edition priced at $79.99. It comes with extra content like a digital world book, soundtrack, and a comic book.
The game will focus on player choice. Every decision will change the story. You can help people or ignore them. You can rush missions or take time to prepare. The world will move forward no matter what you do.
It also has a day and night system. In the day, you fight as a human using swords and magic. At night, you can use vampire powers with stronger abilities. Both forms have different gameplay styles.
The game has a large open world. Players can explore forests, plains, swamps, mountains, and old towns. There are also hidden ruins and secrets to discover.
The game is built on Unreal Engine 5, so it aims for a detailed and visual world. The developers have also released new trailers and a “Road to Launch” event showing more gameplay and story details.
