Asus demonstrates laptops with glasses-free 3D screens

Glasses-free 3D screens

At CES, Asus unveiled laptops with 3D OLED screens. These laptops use an autostereoscopic display that can create a 3D effect without requiring special glasses. The company calls this tech Spatial Vision.

Asus claims that you can experience 3D content from any position. For this, Asus uses an eye-tracking camera system. There is a dual-camera system that continuously detects the precise position of each of your eyes and then uses this data in real-time to adjust the 3D image as you move your head.

Spatial Vision also supports a wide range of platforms including Steam VR, OpenXR, Vulkan, WebXR, Nvidia CloudXR, and more. It also supports most 3D platforms like 3ds, obj, fbx, gltf, glb, stl, stp, mp4, avi, and SBS.

Asus has also made Asus Spatial Vision Hub where you get a collection of 3D-compatible model viewers, media players, photo viewers, and games.

The new ProArt Studiobook 16 (H7604) and Vivobook Pro 16X (K6604) will feature this 3D screen with a 120Hz rest rate. Both the laptops pack Intel i9-13980HX CPUs, Nvidia RTX 4070 GPUs, and up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM. The company has yet to confirm the prices and release dates.
