Google has launched its new high end notebook ‘Chromebook Pixel’ which runs on Chrome OS. It comes with all-metal design and is priced at $999 only.

Google Chromebook Pixel is powered by Core i5 processor, 8 GB RAM and 32 GB SSD storage. It features a 12.85-inch multi-touch LCD with 2560×1700 pixels resolution. The device measures 297.7 x 224.6 x 15.3mm in dimensions and weighs just 1.5kg. There is also an advanced version of Chromebook Pixel dubbed as LS which stands for Ludicrous Speed. It features Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and 64GB SSD. LS version is priced at $1299.

Google also claims that the battery lasts for 12 hours in average usage and it will be charged to run 2 hours only in 15 minutes. Laptop also feature USB Type-C similar to New Macbook, but it has two ports on each side.

Both of the models are Wi-Fi only and does not offer LTE connectivity. Now these laptops are available in US via Google’s new Hardware store.
