Apple announces redesigned MacBook

Apple CEO Tim Cook has just announced the refreshed lineup of its laptop called as MacBook. This new MacBook is 24% thinner than MacBook Air and weighs only 2 pounds.

The new MacBook features a 12 inch display with a 2304 x 1440 pixels resolution. It is just 13.1 inch thin while MacBook Air is17.3 mm thin. It comes with all new keyboard which Apple has reinvented with its “butterfly mechanism.” Apple claims that this new keyboard will offer better typing experience. Apple also claims that this new keyboard prevents wobbling of keys as you type on it. Each key of the keyboard has its own LED.

It is powered by a 1.3GHz Intel Core M processor which can be Turbocharged up to 2.9GHz. The new MacBook also has no fans.

Apple has also improved the trackpad with a taptic engine. It simulates tactic feedback as you use it. It also features the option to “force click” on the trackpad to perform tasks on macbook.

Apple has also improved the batteries used in the Macbook. “We don’t want to ship air, we want to ship batteries,” Schiller said. He also claims that users will get all day mixed usage or 9 hours of web surfing.

Apple also said that it wants users to rely on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for most of the things. It added only a single USB C-Type connecter which supports VGA, HDMI, DisplayPort, USB and charging all in one connection.

New MacBook will be available in gold, silver and space gray colors. Price of new MacBook starts at $1,299 with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. It will be available starting on April 10.
