Apple has not officially listed the battery capacities of the new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, but EU regulations have revealed the numbers just a day after their launch.

Apple has published the EU Energy Labels for both models, which gave us the first official look at their battery capacities. The iPhone 18 Pro has a 4,056mAh battery, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max gets a much larger 5,391mAh cell.

The iPhone 18 Pro therefore has only a slightly larger battery than the iPhone 17 Pro, with a 1.45% increase in capacity. The iPhone 18 Pro Max gets a more significant upgrade, with its battery capacity increasing by 11.8% compared with the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

There is an important difference between the European models and those sold in some other markets. Apple continues to include a physical SIM slot on iPhones sold in the EU, while models in some other markets are eSIM-only. The removal of the physical SIM hardware leaves additional internal space, which allows Apple to use larger batteries in those versions.

The EU Energy Labels also reveal several other details about the new Pro models. Both phones receive an A rating for energy efficiency, a B rating for drop resistance and a C rating for repairability.

Both models are also rated IP68 for dust and water resistance. Apple says its batteries are designed to retain at least 80% of their original capacity after 1,000 charge cycles.
