Now the long wait if over. Google has started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop five months after it announced ‘Android L‘ and three weeks after it confirmed the name.

Nexus devices and Google Play edition devices will soon get the new Android 5.0 Lollipop update in coming days. Other devices will also get the OTA update in coming weeks. Google didn’t breakdown the the roll out, so we cannot confirm when you will receive update. The update has already been started and you will be notified when it will hit your device. But you can manually check by going to settings > About phone > System Update > Check Now.

Motorola can be the first of all to update its devices to latest version of Android. HTC, LG, Sony and Samsung have also promised to update their flagship smartphones to Lollipop by early 2015.

Android 5.0 Lollipop is the most major update Android has received since its initial launch back in 2008. This new update bring Material Design, better battery life, security, improved notification center, support for 64-bit processor and much more.
