Sony Files Patent for SmartWig with Camera and GPS

Technology companies are not focusing on making wearable devices. In recent months we have seen smart wristwatches and glasses. Motorola is also reportedly working on throat tatt0o with mic. Now, Sony has filed patent for a SmartWig that may have camera, laser pointer and GPS.

This wig could be made from “Human hair”, “horse hair”, “Yak hair”, “buffalo hair”, wool, feather or any other kind of synthetic material. The device was invented by company’s Hiroaki Tobita.

In the patent filing of this smartWig, Sony describes the SmartWig: “At least one sensor, the processing unit and the communication interface are arranged in the wig and at least partly covered by the wig in order to be visually hidden during use.” It can be made using horse hair, human hair, wool, feathers, yak hair, buffalo hair or synthetic materials.

Sony, Microsoft, ZTE, LG, Samsung and few other companies are now working on wearable technologies. It started with smartwatch and Glasses, but area is expanding now. Research never ends and hence technology.
