According to a new stats published by mobile analytic firm Flurry, Amazon’s Appstore generates more revenue per daily users than the Google’s Google Play Store. But Apple’s iTunes app store is at the top of the chart.
Flurry collects the data by taking top apps which are present in all three app stores: Apple, Amazon and Google Play. Combined, the apps average 11 million daily active users. It measured their revenue over a 45-day period, from mid-January through the end of February 2012.
Flurry set the revenue of iTunes App Store to 100% and then compare relatively. And it found that Amazon revenue is 89% of App Store revenue and Google revenue is 23% of App Store revenue. We can also say this as, every $1.00 generated in the iTunes App Store, will also fetch $0.89 in the Amazon Appstore and $0.23 in Google Play.
This data shows that iTunes is at the top which has recently crossed a record 25 billion downloads from more than 550,000 available apps. But This data is not good for Google Play as it had crossed 10 billion downloads from 400,000 available apps. It has so many downloads and apps but at the below of Amazon in revenue. It shows that Amazon is working better on engaging users in the store and making perfect deals.
