Xiaomi is working on its new smartphone Xiaomi Mi 5c that has the code name, Meri. This phone was leaked in live images last month. Now we have few more details before the official launch of the phone. This is another affordable phone from Xiaomi and the company will announce it soon.

According to the leak, this phone will cost CNY 999 ($144). This pricing is almost half of the price of Mi 5s. But this price was expected considering the rumored specifications.

Xiaomi Mi 5c will offer sleek frame with round edges and fingerprint sensor on the home button. It is expected to come in Rose Gold, Gold, and Black color variants.

This phone will come with 5.5-inch Full HD display, the octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz, 3GB RAM, ARM Mali-T860 GPU, MIUI 8 and Android 6.0 marshmallow. It will also support NFC-based payments.

Few report also suggests that the phone will come with Xiaomi’s in-house processor. This will be the first time when Xiaomi will be launching a phone with is in-house researched and manufactured processor. This will put the company in the line of top smartphone makers like Samsung and Apple.
