Razer has announced the Seiren V3 Pro, the company’s first microphone with XLR connectivity. The new microphone is designed for streamers, podcasters, and content creators, offering both professional-grade features and beginner-friendly tools.
The Seiren V3 Pro offers a dual connectivity option. The microphone supports both XLR and USB-C connections, giving users more flexibility depending on their setup.
XLR is the standard connection used by professional microphones and audio equipment. However, XLR microphones typically require an audio interface or mixer before they can be connected to a computer. By including both XLR and USB-C ports, Razer allows beginners to start with a simple plug-and-play USB setup and later upgrade to a professional XLR workflow without replacing their microphone.
Razer is also focusing on making high-quality audio recording easier for beginners. The Seiren V3 Pro comes with onboard digital signal processing (DSP), which handles several audio enhancements directly within the microphone.
The built-in DSP includes AI-powered noise removal, a compressor, a limiter, and an expander. These tools help improve audio quality without requiring users to manually adjust complex audio settings.
The microphone also includes an integrated shock absorber and pop filter. These features help reduce vibrations, handling noise, and unwanted popping sounds during recordings.
The Seiren V3 Pro features a unibody design with a dedicated gain control knob and a mute button. Razer also bundles the microphone with an adjustable boom arm mount that includes vibration dampening for improved recording quality.
Inside, the microphone uses a 30mm cardioid capsule with a frequency response range of 50Hz to 16kHz. While this range is narrower than what is typically found in studio recording microphones, it is well suited for voice-focused applications such as streaming, podcasting, and online content creation.
This recording format offers greater flexibility when editing audio and helps reduce issues caused by clipping or unexpected volume spikes.
The microphone’s specifications are similar to other popular streaming microphones on the market, including the Shure MV7+ and the well-known Shure SM58.
Like many recent Razer products, the Seiren V3 Pro also includes customizable RGB lighting. The microphone works with Razer Synapse software, which also enables support for 32-bit float recording.
The Razer Seiren V3 Pro is priced at $249.99.
