Stellar Blade is officially coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. The announcement was made by developer SHIFT UP, which confirmed that the action game will expand beyond PlayStation and PC for the first time.
The game is currently available on PlayStation 5 and PC. It first launched on PlayStation 5 on April 26, 2024. Later, it released on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store on June 11, 2025. The PlayStation 5 and PC versions are published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
With the new Switch 2 version, players will be able to experience the full action RPG on Nintendo’s next-generation handheld console. The game will also support Joy-Con 2 motion controls, which will add more interaction during gameplay and certain in-game activities.
Stellar Blade puts players in the role of EVE, an elite warrior sent to reclaim Earth from mysterious forces. The game features fast combat, cinematic storytelling, and a story about uncovering the truth behind Earth’s downfall.
Players can also upgrade skills, customize gear, and build different combat styles. The game includes large boss battles that require timing, strategy, and strong character progression.
When the game launched in 2024, it quickly became a major talking point among gamers and reviewers. Many praised its combat system, visuals, and presentation, while discussions also formed around its character design and overall direction. On PC, the game continued to attract attention after its release, keeping a strong player base.
