Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch of the REDMI Turbo 5 in India. The new performance-focused smartphone will be unveiled on June 16, 2026. The company has already started teasing the device and is highlighting its speed, powerful hardware, and premium features.
The promotional campaign revolves around the tagline, “Fast isn’t just a feature anymore. It’s the default,” indicating that the REDMI Turbo 5 is aimed at users who want strong performance for gaming, multitasking, and everyday use.
Xiaomi has revealed several key specifications ahead of the launch.
The REDMI Turbo 5 will be powered by the MediaTek 8500-Ultra processor. The smartphone will support up to 24GB of RAM, which includes virtual RAM expansion. It will also feature LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, promising faster app loading times and improved overall performance.
The REDMI Turbo 5 is also expected to feature a large 5,300mm² vapor chamber cooling system as part of Xiaomi’s 3D IceLoop cooling technology. This should help keep temperatures under control during extended gaming sessions and intensive workloads.
It will feature a 1.5K Adaptive Fluid Display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The REDMI Turbo 5 will come with a dual rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP primary camera with both Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). The main camera is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone features a 20MP front-facing camera.
Reports suggest the phone could pack a massive 6,500mAh battery and supports 100W HyperCharge technology.
Images shared by Xiaomi reveal a flat-frame design with a clean rear panel. The camera lenses are arranged vertically without a large camera island. Red accent rings around the camera modules add a sporty look that matches the phone’s motorsport-inspired marketing theme.
The smartphone is also rumored to come with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
The REDMI Turbo 5 will be available through Amazon India, Xiaomi’s official website, and offline retail stores after launch.
