Oppo has finally introduced ColorOS 15 at the OPPO Developer Conference 2024. ColorOS 15 is based on Android 15 and is designed specifically for the Chinese market. The new version of ColorOS comes with UI improvements, customization options, and performance upgrades.ColorOS 15 offers a smoother, more intuitive, and visually appealing interface. Simplified but Improved UI
The overall UI has been simplified, making it easier to navigate and use. Visual elements have verb refined to ensure smoother navigation and interactions. It includes new motion effects and app transitions. The design looks visually appealing.
ColorOS 15 introduces parallel animation capabilities that allow multiple windows to operate simultaneously and ensure a smooth and responsive user experience. It also offers refined motion effects and animations for a more consistent and visually pleasing experience.
The design language emphasizes natural light and shadow elements. It provides a more realistic and organic feel. ColorOS 15 introduces dynamic lighting effects that adapt to the time of day. It creates a more immersive and visually appealing experience.
New Control Center
ColorOS 15 introduces a separate control center for quick access to settings and toggles. This is a significant improvement over previous versions, where the control center was integrated with the notification shade. The separate control center allows for a more streamlined and organized way to manage settings and toggles.
Aurora and Tidal Engine
These new engines optimize system-level rendering and dynamic cache allocation. Aurora Engine is a new rendering architecture that uses a non-traditional parallel response method. It provides 18% improved control response speed and 40% improvements in control stability. Tidal Engine enhances dynamic cache allocation three times better than instruction acceleration.
Xiaobu Assistant
XiaoBu Assistant in ColorOS 15 is designed to make your life easier. It comes with helpful features and services. You can use your voice to control various aspects of your device. It also lets you control compatible smart home devices using voice commands. Users can also ask XiaoBu Assistant questions about a wide range of topics. You can also get information about elements on your screen by simply tapping on them and asking XiaoBu Assistant a question.
AI Image Processing
ColorOS 15 includes improved AI image processing features like one-touch person and reflection removal, blur removal for portraits, and a clever image upscaling feature. Live Photos also come with electronic image stabilization (EIS) support.
AI Office Assistant Features
ColorOS 15 also brings AI features to boost productivity. It comes with AI Voice Summary, AI Document Management, AI Notes, and AI Help Writing. The names explain the working of these AI features AI Voice Summary provides a summary of important information from audio or video calls with one click. AI Document Management streamlines the handling of documents across various formats. AI Notes provide quick note-taking and formatting while AI Help Writing generates illustrations based on photo content.
The Notes app can now format and summarize notes, the document scanner can summarize and translate documents, and the voice recorder can summarize and transcribe recordings.
OPPO Mutual Transfer and OPPO Share
Oppo has also made it easier to transfer data between OPPO devices. OPPO Mutual Transfer feature lets you transfer data directly from one OPPO device to another without the need for a computer or cloud storage. You can transfer contacts, messages, photos, videos, music, documents, and more wirelessly. Oppo Share is another feature that enables file sharing between OPPO devices and between devices from other brands that support OPPO Share.. You can can share photos, videos, documents, and more.
Enhanced Gaming and Video Call Performance
ColorOS 15 offers higher frame rates for gaming and video calls to ensure a smoother and more immersive experience. The device is able to maintain an average of 116.7 frames per second while gaming. Oppo also claims that the average application installation speed has been improved by 26 percent. It also promises 50% faster app loading speeds.
Privacy and Security Enhancements
ColorOS 15 includes various privacy and security features to protect your personal data. It includes Smart Clipboard Protection that identifies and prevents unauthorized access to private information in the clipboard. It also creates events without reading the entire calendar for improved privacy. It also automatically deletes verification code SMS> The system also retains a history of edits for users to restore original images or make secondary changes.
ColorOS 15 release date
ColorOS 15 will be introduced in China next month and the global release could be in early 2025.
