Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil Requiem has crossed 7 million units sold worldwide. The update was shared by game director Koshi Nakanishi.
The game had previously reached 6 million sales on March 16. This means it added another 1 million copies in just over a month, showing steady demand after launch.
Resident Evil Requiem was released on February 27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Data tracked by Techlomedia Gaming shows that the game is still seeing consistent activity on PC. According to the Resident Evil Requiem Steam Chart, the game currently has around 9,600 active players, with a 24-hour peak of just over 10,300 players. The 30-day peak stands at 36,714 players, while the all-time peak reached 343,964 players.
Although numbers dropped a lot from the all-time peak of 343,964 players, it is expected from a story-driven game. The 30-day peak suggests the game still sees periodic spikes. These spikes usually come from updates.
Twitch numbers also show ongoing interest. The game currently has around 3,000 viewers with nearly 300 live channels streaming it. The all-time peak on the platform was much higher at over 581,000 viewers, which came during the launch period. For a single-player horror game, this level of retention is decent. Most games in this category disappear from streaming platforms much faster.
The latest numbers show that Resident Evil Requiem is still performing well after launch. The steady sales growth and consistent player activity suggest that the game is maintaining interest beyond its initial release window.
Resident Evil Requiem has done exactly what publishers want from a premium single-player game. Crossing 7 million sales is not just a milestone. It confirms that Resident Evil Requiem is holding its ground after launch.
