Xbox players have three more games to try this weekend through Microsoft’s Free Play Days promotion. The latest lineup includes Train Sim World 6, ICARUS: Console Edition and Lynked: Banner of the Spark. It is important to note that none of the three games is available as a free trial for all Xbox users this time. You need an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium or Essential subscription to access the offers.
The promotions are available until Sunday, August 23, at 11:59 PM PT.
Here are the announced games and the platforms they are available to play on

- Lynked: Banner of the Spark (Xbox Series X|S)
Train Sim World 6 is the most simulation-focused option in the lineup. It lets players operate different trains across real-world routes, with the experience built around realistic driving, signalling and railway operations. It is available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC.
ICARUS: Console Edition takes players to a very different setting. It is a PvE survival game set on a hostile alien planet, where players have to explore the environment, gather resources and survive its dangers. The Free Play Days offer is available on Xbox Series X|S.
The third game, Lynked: Banner of the Spark, combines cooperative action with roguelite gameplay. It also adds town-building and life-simulation elements, giving players something beyond the usual combat-focused roguelite formula. It is available on Xbox Series X|S.
All three games are also discounted during the Free Play Days promotion, giving players an opportunity to buy them for less if they decide to keep playing after the weekend.
To access these games, open the Microsoft Store, select Home from the sidebar and then open the Subscriptions section. The available Free Play Days games should appear there.
The offer is also a useful way to try games that you may otherwise overlook. The three titles target very different audiences, so players interested in simulation games, survival experiences or cooperative action can choose something that fits their preference.
However, the requirement for a paid Game Pass subscription makes this week’s promotion less generous than some previous Free Play Days events. Microsoft occasionally includes games that anyone can play for the weekend, but there are no such titles in this week’s lineup.
If you already have Game Pass Essential, Premium or Ultimate, though, there is little reason not to give these games a try before the promotion ends on August 23.
