Motorola has officially launched the moto g stylus 5G (2025) in the US. This is the latest mid-range phone in its popular G series and comes as a successor to last year’s model. With solid upgrades in display, performance, camera, and features, the phone seems a solid option in its price range.
Just like the earlier models, the 2025 version comes with a built-in stylus. Motorola says that it has improved the style quite a bit. It now offers 6.4x faster responsiveness compared to last year’s stylus. This makes it easier to take notes, sketch, or navigate through apps. Motorola has also added AI features like “Sketch to Image”, and Circle to Search, making the stylus even more useful.
The phone has a large 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and animations. It has a 1.5K screen resolution and up to 3000 nits of peak brightness.
The smartphone has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It also comes with MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability to make it tough for rough conditions.
The new Moto G Stylus runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, an upgrade from the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in the previous version. It comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Storage is also expandable up to 1TB using a microSD card. It runs Android 15 with Motorola’s My UX.
It features a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C main camera with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide lens with macro support, and a 32MP selfie camera. The setup seems good for a mid-range phone.
Connectivity options are 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and USB Type-C. It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone has Stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos for good audio support.
The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery, which should easily last a full day. It supports 68W fast charging and also offers 15W wireless charging.
The moto g stylus 5G (2025) will be available in two colors – Gibraltar Sea and Surf the Web – with a leather-inspired back finish. It is priced at $399.99 (around ₹34,500) and will be available from April 17 on Amazon.com, BestBuy.com, and Motorola’s website. It will later be available through multiple US carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile.
