NetEase Games and developer Naked Rain have officially revealed their highly anticipated urban open-world RPG, ANANTA, previously known as Project Mugen. We also got an impressive “Announce” trailer to show the first in-depth look at the game’s unique gameplay and aesthetic. The game promises a thrilling mix of action, exploration, and supernatural mysteries.
The game is set in the vibrant, chaotic Nova City. It also combines elements of popular games like Grand Theft Auto and Spider-Man to offer high-octane action with eccentric humor. The trailer shows players swinging between buildings, driving through busy streets, and fighting quirky enemies with cool moves.
You play as an Agent for the Anti-Chaos Directorate (A.C.D.) to solve mysteries in a world filled with chaos. You will also team up with other Espers, each with unique backstories and abilities, to restore balance to this urban paradise. With the game progress, you will recover lost memories, explore distinct cities, and uncover the key to saving humanity from Chaos.
The game offers a team-based combat featuring groups of four characters that complement one another with their abilities. Players can use environmental objects and urban terrain to defeat enemies. Each character has a special travel ability reflecting their identity. These travel abilities include parkour, wall-climbing, and swinging between buildings.
