Riot Games has finally launched its popular free-to-play 5v5 first-person tactical shooter game Valorant for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X consoles. However, the availability is limited to the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, and Brazil.
The console version of Valorant offers the same gameplay and characters as the PC version. However, it won’t support crossplay to maintain the ‘competitive integrity’ of the game. It means Console gamers won’t be teamed with PC gamers and vice versa. But it will support cross-progression. If you unlock characters and skins on PC, you can carry them on consoles.
Another good thing is that Valorant for the console will get similar updates as the PC version to ensure content parity.
The console version of the game features Focus which is similar to to hip fire and aims to help in faster aiming at enemies. The feature reduces camera sensitivity when the gamer is aiming near an enemy. Players can enter the Focus mode by using the left trigger.
Valorant has been offering the game in limited beta and received valuable feedback from players. The company used the feedback to improve the game for console gamers.
