Along with the Pixel 9 series, Google also launched its latest foldable phone, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold features an 8-inch QHD+ Super Actua Flex OLED LTPO display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 2700 nits peak brightness. The display also has ultra-thin glass protection. It has a 6.3-inch outer OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, up to 2700 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
The phone has a fluid-friction hinge that opens fully flat. The company also claims that it is the thinnest foldable phone at 5.1 mm when open. Pixel 9 Pro Fold is also IPX8 water resistant.
It packs Google Tensor G4 processor and Titan M2 security chip. The phone also has 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and comes in 256GB or 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. It runs Android 14 and promises 7 years of OS, security, and Feature Drop updates. Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold also comes with Google’s AI capabilities to offer features like Magic Eraser, Real Tone, and Night Sight.
The camera setup includes 48 megapixels primary camera with Sony IMX787 sensor and OIS. It also has 10.5 megapixels Ultra-wide camera and 10.8 megapixels 5x telephoto camera with OIS. The phone supports 10-bit HDR recording and 4K 60 fps video recording. The phone also has 10.5 megapixels selfie camera on outer and inner displays.
The camera app has Pro controls including Super Res Zoom up to 20, Add Me, Macro Focus, Night Sight, Hands-free astrophotography, Dual Screen Preview, Tabletop mode hands-free shots, Made You Look, and more features.
It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NA, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7 802.11be (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.3 LE, GPS, USB Type C 3.2, and NFC. The phone packs a 4,650mAh battery with wired fast charging and wireless charging.
Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is priced at Rs. 1,72,999 and will be available later this year.
