Battlefield 6 is not even out yet, but it is already making history. Over the weekend, the game pulled in 521,079 concurrent players on Steam. That’s more than big names like Helldivers 2, Elden Ring Nightreign, and Destiny 2. It is now the 18th biggest game on Steam by concurrent players of all time.

It is also important to note that this is the biggest beta in Battlefield’s history. On Steam alone, the shooter hit 521,079 concurrent players. Only Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, and PUBG were ahead.

It even beat Monster Hunter Wilds’ PC beta record from February, which had 463,798 concurrent players. For a beta test, that’s huge.

EA confirmed the numbers on social media. They also warned players about queues. “Peak time is approaching and queues will be expected,” they said. “We’re working on entry times to the game, but appreciate your patience.”

The Battlefield 6 beta is open this weekend and next. Everyone who signed up for the Labs test got in, which explains the massive numbers. If you miss this weekend, you can still join next week and complete the same challenges. There are still ways to get beta codes, but be ready to wait in line.

Battlefield 6 officially launches on October 10th. Early impressions are mixed but hopeful. Some players see the potential for an all-time great Battlefield game. Others want to test it more before deciding if the bold changes are worth it.
