Google has introduced its latest Pixel 9 series that includes Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. The company has also launched these phones in India. Google claims that these phones are twice as durable as the Pixel 8 series. The company is also launching the Pro model in two different sizes.

Google Pixel 9 features a 6.3-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2700 nits peak brightness. The display also has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

Google Pixel 9

The phone packs Google Tensor G4 processor with a Titan M2 security chip. It has 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and does in 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage models. The phone runs Android 14 out of the box and the company also promises 7 years of OS upgrades, security patches, and Feature Drop updates.

The rear camera setup has 50 megapixels primary camera with Samsung GNK sensor and OIS. It also has a 48 megapixels Ultra-wide camera with a Sony IMX858 sensor. The phone also features 10-bit HDR recording, Cinematic Blur, high resolution 8x zoom, and 4K 60 fps video recording. It also has 10.5 megapixels front camera with a Samsung 3J1 sensor, and 4K 60 fps video recording.

It has Ultrasonic In-display fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers. The phone also has 5G SA/NA, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7 802.11be, Bluetooth 5.3 LE, GPS, USB Type C 3.2, and NFC. It also supports Satellite SOS but this feature is limited to the US only.

Pixel 9 packs a 4700mAh battery with 27W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging.

Google Pixel 9 Pro has a 6.3-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a 1-120 Hz refresh rate and up to 3000 nits peak brightness. The Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection is also there. The phone runs Android 14 and will get 7 years of OS, security, and Feature Drop updates.

The phone packs Google Tensor G4 processor with a Titan M2 security chip. It has 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and comes in 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. There’s also a 1TB storage model but only for the US market.

The rear camera setup has 50 megapixels primary camera with OIS, 48 megapixels 123° Ultra-wide camera with a Sony IMX858 sensor, and 48 megapxiels 5x telephoto camera with Sony IMX858, and OIS. It also has 10-bit HDR recording and Cinematic Blur. For selfies, the phone has a 42 megapixels front camera.

It has Ultrasonic In-display fingerprint scanner, Stereo speakers, and a Temperature sensor. The phone also comes with 5G SA/NA, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7 802.11be (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.3 LE, GPS, USB Type C 3.2, and NFC. The phone packs a 4700mAh battery with 27W wired fast charging, and 21W wireless charging.

Pixel 9 Pro XL is similar to Pixel 9 Pro but with a slightly bigger display and bigger battery. Pixel 9 Pro XL has a 6.8-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It has the same SoC, the same camera setup, and other features. Pixel 9 Pro XL packs a 5060mAh with 37W wired fast charging and 23W wireless charging.

Pixel 9 Pro XL

Google Pixel 9 costs Rs. Rs. 79,999 for the 256GB model. The Pixel 9 Pro is priced at Rs. Rs. 1,09,999. The Pixel 9 Pro XL with 256GB storage costs Rs. 1,24,999 and the 512GB model costs Rs. 1,39,999.

These phones are now available for pre-order on Flipkart and at over 150 Croma and Reliance Retail outlets in 15 cities across the country. The Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL will be available starting August 22. Pixel 9 Pro will be sold later and the company will confirm the availability details in the coming weeks.
