NVIDIA GeForce Now is getting pre-roll ads for free users

NVIDIA GeForce Now

NVIDIA has decided to put ads on its free game streaming service GeForce Now. Starting March 5, the company will start putting up to two minutes of ads while a free user is waiting in queue to start a game.

The company has already sent an email to free users confirming the interaction of ads.

Free access to GeForce Now is also not impressive. The free tier offers one hour of gaming at no cost. After an hour of gaming session, they have to wait in the queue again for another hour-long gaming session. I always recommend serious gamers to go for GeForce Now Ultimate membership to get a better gaming experience. The membership costs $20 a month.

The company didn’t confirm why they decided to put ads in the free tier. It might be a strategy to incentivize free users to upgrade to the ultimate subscription.

NVIDIA is now the third most valuable company in the US with a market valuation of $1.83 trillion.
