WhatsApp is working on a few notable features of Android and iOS. The company has not started testing support for Android tablets. For iOS, WhatsApp is working on the ‘Search by Date’ feature.

As spotted by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will soon let users link an Android tablet and use WhatsApp on two Android devices. This feature is only available to limited users.

Some users are seeing a banner on their WhatsApp app about this new feature. The banner reads “Have an Android tablet? WhatsApp for tablet is available for beta testers.” Tappin on the banner provides detailed steps to connect WhatsApp account on a tablet.

WABetaInfo also noted that iOS users will soon be able to search messages by dates. WhatsApp version 22.24.0.77 or higher will let users search WhatsApp messages of specific dates. There will be a calendar icon inside the search option for a chat. Taping on the calendar icon will let users jump to a date for specific messages sent on the day.

The ability to search messages by dates is only available to some lucky beta testers.

These features are only for limited beta testers. If the company gets good results in tests, it will release these features in stable versions of WhatsApp.

Recently WhatsApp introduced an option to message yourself. This feature provides users the ability to send notes, reminders, and shopping lists.
