The Epic Games Store has updated its weekly free game lineup, and this time, players can claim Fear the Spotlight for free. The offer replaces last week’s freebies, Amnesia: The Bunker and Samorost 3. As usual, players have seven days to add the new title to their Epic Games library permanently.

Fear the Spotlight is a survival horror game released in 2024. It pays tribute to classic horror titles from the 1990s. The game focuses on atmosphere, storytelling, and puzzles instead of relying on constant jump scares. The game delivers a slow-burn horror experience that builds tension through exploration and mystery.

The story follows two teenagers, Vivian and Amy, who find themselves trapped inside an abandoned school after a séance goes terribly wrong. According to the developers, “Sunnyside High has a dark history. When Vivian enters the deserted corridors for a séance with the rebellious Amy, she suddenly ends up alone, and at the mercy of the monster who wanders the halls.” Players take on the role of Vivian as she tries to avoid the creature’s gaze, find her missing friend, and uncover the truth behind a decades-old tragedy.

The Fear the Spotlight giveaway is now live on the Epic Games Store and will remain available until October 30. Anyone can claim the game during this period and keep it forever.
